ABOUT JOANNA 

 

Joanna Venar has always had a love for staying active both in the gym and outdoors. It's that love of moving that ultimately inspired her to get up from her desk and leave her ten-year career in corporate sales and marketing behind. Since then, Joanna has successfully transitioned her career into the fitness industry and pursued her passion for helping others maintain a healthy lifestyle. Joanna focuses on strength conditioning, core, flexiblity and balance work and functional training - or training your body to handle real life situations from getting up out of your chair comfortably to picking up a heavy toddler. She will address any injuries, postural imbalances or mobility issues with corrective exercise. She believes in training through positive reinforcement and encourages all of her clients to strive for their best without being a drill sergeant!

 

Joanna is a NCSF and NASM Certified Personal Trainer. With a further certification as a Women's Fitness Specialist, she has enhanced training in pre- and postnatal, teenage and elderly age groups.  Joanna is also a NASM Certified Nutrition coach and has been certified in adult and infant CPR/AED.

Outside the gym, Joanna is a mom of two active boys. She loves to play competitive tennis and take her two labradors for walks.  Joanna resides in New Rochelle, New York with her family.
